  • Lekotek Fishing Trip

    1978 Island Ford Pkwy 1978 Island Ford Pkwy, Sandy Springs, Georgia

    Join your Lekotek friends for a fun, wheelchair accessible fishing outing at Island Ford--Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. A park ranger and volunteers will offer a basic introduction to fishing to catch fish in the pond. The dock has a railing and is wheelchair accessible. There will also be an aquarium at the dock to view the fish (and turtles) that we catch before we release them back into the pond. Information about a free Acess Pass (for individuals with a disability) for National Parks will be available on site.
    The fishing event is Free -- Registration is Required. Space is Limited

  • Swift-Cantrell Splash Pad Play

    Swift Cantrell Park 3140 Old 41 Hwy NW, Kennesaw, GA, United States

    Join Lekotek at Swift-Cantrell Park's Splash Pad! This is a private event for Lekotek Families - closed to the public. It is free to attend, but please register! The Splash Pad is reserved from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. Lekotek will prepare hotdogs and provide papergoods and drinks, each family should bring something to share (finger foods are preferred).

  • Pond Rafting Outing with Lekotek

    Sibley Pond Marietta, GA

    Join your Lekotek friends at Sibley Pond. This small pond is perfect for a beginning rafting experience. Parents should plan to participate and supervise their children. (Recommended for ages 6 and up.)

  • Cobb Computer Club (Ages 8-15)

    Lekotek of Georgia Kennesaw 1925 Vaughn Rd NW, Kennesaw, GA

    Kids ages 8-15 are invited to join us for computer games, pizza and fun! Cost is $10 (scholarships are available) Registration is required--space is limited.
    Registration on our website will be available at the beginning of the month prior to the Club date. If you are not currently receiving notifications when registration is available, please contact the Cobb office to get on our email list! 770-420-9889.

  • Raft down the Chattahoochee River with Lekotek

    Garrard Landing Park 8000 Holcomb Bridge Rd, Alpharetta, GA

    A park ranger and volunteers will guide us down the Chattahoochee River beginning at Garrard Landing Park and ending at Island Ford. This trip could take up to 4 hours depending on the river. Previous rafting experience is preferred (participation in previous raft outings with Lekotek is fine!) to ensure the best possible experience for everyone. Plan to bring the whole family, for a great time with your Lekotek friends! All families should pack a picnic lunch. We hope to stop partway down the river--but snacks and lunch in the raft are also fine. We will not be swimming. The water is very cold, and although the bacteria levels in the river are monitored, it is not the best environment for swimming.Children must be accompanied by a supervising adult. The trip is subject to cancellation or change of venue depending on the water quality and weather.     This is NOT a sensory friendly concert, but it is a family friendly concert and all are welcome. It may be a loud, crowded, possibly overstimulating environment for some.

    NOTE: Lekotek has prepurchased tickets at a discounted price $27.20 per ticket and are offering them to our Lekotek families for just $10 per ticket. Payment is required at registration to secure your tickets.
