    Join us for 4-Week Mahjongg Series, a fun and engaging Introduction (or refresher) to the basics of American Mahjongg. We will unravel the mysteries of the tiles, decode the secrets of NMJL card, master the art of dealing, dance our way through the Charleston, and so much more! Inclusive offering for both typical participants and individuals with neurodiversity welcome. Ages 14 and up. Come learn to play with us!

  • Partner Support Group

    Recurring

    The Partner Support Group is for those in neurodiverse relationships with a spouse/partner who has a confirmed or suspected autism spectrum profile. The group meeting is a positive and supportive time to share experiences, gain information and understanding about how neurodiversity affects couple relationships.

    This open group meets on the third Wednesday of the month. Participants can join at any time. There is $10 cost to participants to attend any session. Advanced registration is required.

  • Employment Workshop for Adults

    Many neurodivergent people spend years trying to adapt to workplaces that do not fit the way they think, communicate, or work.

    This interactive session explores whether self-employment, freelancing, consulting, or business ownership could offer an alternative. We will examine both the strengths and challenges of entrepreneurship, look at different ways of working for yourself, and discuss practical strategies for building work around your needs, interests and strengths.

    Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of whether self-employment might be an option worth exploring.

    By the end of this session, participants will:

    Understand different forms of self-employment and entrepreneurship.
    Recognise strengths that can support business success.
    Identify common challenges and support needs.
    Learn how to build work around strengths rather than weaknesses.
    Explore whether self-employment could suit their own circumstances.
    Leave with practical next steps for further exploration.

    A new social and craft night, ArtReach, is offered the 3rd Thursday of each month. in person focusing on art, 6:30-8:00 pm. This group is held at the Hudgens Center for Art and Learning in Duluth for women on the spectrum.

  • Support Group for Adults

    This support group is for Autistic adults (18+) who are post k-12. Through this support group, members can connect with a variety of participants.

    AANE support groups give members an opportunity to celebrate successes and support each other through difficulties. Common topics of discussion are:

    Masking/camouflaging
    Sensory sensitivities/overloads
    Relationships
    Self-care
    Disclosure

  • Support Group for LGBTQIA+ Adults

    This is an hour-long support group for Autistic LGBTQIA+ adults. It is a safe space to find community, share stories with, or gather support if needed from folks of similar experiences. This group hopes to provide support and comfort. The group is facilitated by a trans person on the spectrum. No autism (or related) diagnoses are required, nor is certainty about your queer identity. This is a space to explore all those things. It is also for all post-high school adults over 18 years old.

  • Inclusive Justice ADA Title II Training Series

    Courts face a wide variety of disability related issues and circumstances. Understanding when and how the court must effectively comply with the ADA can be complicated. Learn ways to develop and apply specific ADA analytical skills and reasoning to successfully respond to court when challenging disability-related situations arise in the courtroom and court programs. The session will discuss ways to approach various highly difficult disability-related scenarios that provides tools for participants to tackle challenging situations in their own courts.

    This event is hosted by the South ADA Center and it will be held on via Zoom.
