  • Workshop – Love, Sex, and Autism: Practical Guidance for Authentic Intimacy

In the October workshop of the Daniel W. Rosenn Autism & Neurodiversity Learning Series, licensed clinician Candice Christiansen will discuss her #1 bestseller, Love, Sex, and Autism, which challenges one of the most pervasive myths about autism: the misconception that Autistic adults are not interested in, or capable of, love and intimacy. In her work, she welcomes a more honest conversation that centers one truth: Autistic individuals are capable and deserving of love, healthy sex, and intimacy where they feel safe to be themselves. As part of this truth, though, many Autistic adults also face real-life intimacy challenges—from experiencing differences in neurolove languages and sensory issues in the bedroom to navigating out-of-control sexual behavior and betrayal trauma. Join us as we explore the full picture of intimacy on the spectrum and create space for a more informed, empathetic understanding of autistic love, sex, and connection.

  • Multi-Session Support Group – Discussing Burnout, Masking, and Bandwidth for Adults

This multi-session support group offers autistic adults a space to explore the relationship between masking and autistic burnout. Participants will discuss how social expectations, sensory overload, executive functioning challenges, and chronic stress can affect energy, identity, relationships, and daily life.

Through facilitated conversation and personal reflection, the group will examine why people mask, how masking may become automatic, and how identity, culture, work, education, and safety can shape decisions about masking, unmasking, and disclosure. Participants will also identify signs and contributors to burnout, reflect on personal patterns and triggers, and share strategies for reducing demands, managing sensory needs, setting boundaries, practicing self-compassion, communicating needs, and accessing support. The group will emphasize that there is no single correct approach and will support participants in finding strategies that fit their individual circumstances and values.
