Discussion and practice in building and carrying out daily routines that meet your needs and promote regulation and calmness among life’s daily stressors.
Supporting your child with challenging behaviors across settings can be difficult. Children want to do well and be successful, but academic, behavioral, and social expectations can overwhelm students with mental health, emotional, or behavioral needs and increase unwanted behaviors. All children have the right to an education, even when behaviors get in the way. Join us for this workshop to discover information and resources to help address these challenges, think about your child’s behaviors in a new way, and learn how to improve your responses to those behaviors with positive support and interventions.
If an ASL interpreter is required, please notify workshops@pacer.org at least 48 hours prior to the workshop. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
Join us for part 3 and the final session of this workshop series to review the ten parts of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) and dive into understanding its goals, services, and accommodations. Participants will also learn the importance of the Prior Written Notice (PWN).

This group focuses on adults that are looking for a positive and safe environment to foster social development. The group meets twice a month (once at the Spectrum meetings and one social outing a month) with 1-2 adult leaders who are trained in helping people on the Autism Spectrum. Adults who have HFA/Asperger’s Syndrome and are reaching out for help and/or seeking friendships with people with similar issues and interests are welcome! For more information about this group, please contact info@spectrumautism.org.
Members of this group need to be out of high school in order to join the group. Our current members are generally high school graduates, attend college, or are working. Those attending the outings must be able to do so with minimal supervision (1 to 10).
