This group is designed for parents and other adult family members of Autistic children in the tween range (grades 4-9). The multi-session support group provides a guaranteed spot over a set number of sessions, which creates an opportunity to develop deeper connections and receive extensive peer support from the same group members.

Introduction to Autism for Families

This 90-minute workshop will address common misconceptions, investigate Autistic identity, and explore Autistic traits, strengths, and challenges. This presentation will provide insights into your child’s neurotype, preparing you with an informed mindset for raising an Autistic child. Parents, family members, and caregivers of individuals who are potentially Autistic are also encouraged to attend.

Bridging Aging and Disability

The Supporting Families Best Practice Series will introduce and elevate best practices related to supporting families. The series will be held quarterly in collaboration with the National Community of Practice for Supporting Families. Each session will feature a panel of individuals or entities who will address key recommendations from the National Agenda through their lens of grassroots advocacy, “practice level” implementation, state service systems, federal policies, and research.

Let's roll! Come skating with us at Skateland of Augusta on Thursday, July 10 from 6:30-8:30 PM!
Cost: $7 per skater. $20 per family/group of 4. Bring money for the snack bar if you'd like.
