  • Community Connection Session for Parents/Families

    This event is to help parents with an Autistic child. If you’re unsure how to provide structure with kids out of school, need some self-care, or if you’re feeling isolated from other adults and the community, drop into our community support sessions to connect with other parents. Sessions will be facilitated by AANE’s Individual and Family Services staff who know firsthand the need to maintain a balance for ourselves and our children when life brings the unexpected.

    During this session, we will discuss ways to get organized and prepared to begin a new school year. We will share resources to help introduce your child to new therapists and teachers as well as resources that will help you to communicate with your child's team.     Across the country, we are witnessing a troubling resurgence of calls to return to mass institutionalization—a failed and deeply harmful approach that once separated families, stripped individuals of dignity, and diverted resources away from community‑based solutions. This renewed push toward institutional care, driven by workforce shortages and gaps in effective treatment, threatens to reverse decades of progress. To address this issue and as part of our yearlong strategic vision, NFF is hosting a 5-part webinar series.

    Our third webinar "Blending Advocacy and Support: The Power of Peer and Family-Run Organizations as Agents of Change" will be held on Wednesday, July 15th at 2pm et. This webinar will capture the power of peer and family-run organizations as agents of change and how they balance their dual roles as advocates and providers.

    RAISE Forward brings together Parent Centers, disability organizations, RSA Parent Centers (RSA-PCs), and partners to share tools, strategies, and insights that strengthen long-term impact. Featuring updates from RSA-PCs and Youth Engagement Transition Initiative (YETI) leaders, this virtual summit focuses on practical resources, emerging technologies, and collaborative approaches that support effective transition services and meaningful youth engagement. Participants will leave with actionable ideas to sustain and grow their work with clarity, resilience, and shared purpose.

  • 10th Annual Adult Autism Symposium

    This event is for autistic adults, caregivers, service providers, and also for people wanting to learn more about the autistic community. All of the presentations are related to autistic adult topics. It's a great place to go to learn about the autism community, autism-related issues, find new resources, and connect with others. We welcome neurodivergent individuals as well as people who are on autism assessment waitlists and people who self-identify as neurodiverse. This event is for everyone!
