Supporting your child with challenging behaviors across settings can be difficult. Children want to do well and be successful, but academic, behavioral, and social expectations can overwhelm students with mental health, emotional, or behavioral needs and increase unwanted behaviors. All children have the right to an education, even when behaviors get in the way. Join us for this workshop to discover information and resources to help address these challenges, think about your child’s behaviors in a new way, and learn how to improve your responses to those behaviors with positive support and interventions. If an ASL interpreter is required, please notify workshops@pacer.org at least 48 hours prior to the workshop. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

The Georgia Neurodiversity Chamber of Commerce (GANCC) presents Parent Planning with Purpose, a Hands-on Workshop for parents of adults with disabilities. Planning for the long-term needs of a loved one with a disability can be complex. Legal documents, trusts, government benefits, ABLE accounts and financial planning all need to work together—and understanding how they connect can help families avoid costly mistakes. The GANCC Parent Planning With Purpose Workshop brings a special needs attorney and a financial advisor specializing in disability planning together to help parents understand how these pieces fit together. Learn how to protect benefits, plan for the future and confidently guide your family’s planning team. |
