    Spectrum hosts monthly parent meetings the first and second Thursday of each month featuring guest speakers who share their knowledge and expertise regarding a variety of topics related to the Autism Spectrum Disorder. First Thursday of the month meetings are offered Sept-May for parents of school age children. Breakout sessions are also offered for Dads, parents of preschoolers, and in Spanish only.

    Social Skills programs are offered at the same time for children ages 5-22. Childcare is offered for those under 5. Second Thursday of the month meetings are for parents of adults out of high school and for adults on the spectrum.

    Get ready to meet and mingle with like-minded young teens (ages 12 - 17) on the spectrum. A great opportunity to be social and make new friends as you move from table to table to get to know new people. Table Talk Jr. is $25 and includes meal and a drink. TIME IS 1 PM to 3 PM.   • Autistic Adults Social Groups

    This group focuses on adults that are looking for a positive and safe environment to foster social development. The group meets twice a month (once at the Spectrum meetings and one social outing a month) with 1-2 adult leaders who are trained in helping people on the Autism Spectrum. Adults who have HFA/Asperger’s Syndrome and are reaching out for help and/or seeking friendships with people with similar issues and interests are welcome!     Members of this group need to be out of high school in order to join the group. Our current members are generally high school graduates, attend college, or are working. Those attending the outings must be able to do so with minimal supervision (1 to 10).

  • Session Information Teen Saturday Social Club – October & November 2025

    Spectrum Teen Social Club will provide a safe space for teens 12-18 who are on the autism spectrum. Participants who are in middle school and high school, have independent self help skills, and are able to function with little supervision. The group will meet on Saturdays from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm where they will play games, enjoy karaoke, or watch movies with friends. The club will be supervised by professional staff that will facilitate the members to help make new friends and strengthen social skills.
    Dates are October 4th-November 8th
    This will be like a gym membership where you pay $150 a quarter to participate one Saturday or all Saturdays in a quarter. You must register but then can attend as often or as little as you want.

  • October 2025 Homeschool Enrichment Program

    Social skills development with structured peer interactions, group activities, socio-emotional strategies will be offered.
    We will offer enrichment activities like Arts and Crafts, Music, Gardening and Nature Activities, Executive Function Skills, STEM (task management, time management), Social Skills and Peer Interaction, Life Skills (e.g., cooking, budgeting, organization), and Career Readiness (for teens and young adults). Arts, drama, music, STEM, cooking, gardening, and life skills training. Innovative learning methods will feature activities led by specialists such as drum circle leaders, theatre professionals, Master Gardeners, and yoga instructors. Opportunities to build friendships and strengthen social skills through fun and engaging activities like playing games, outdoor play, and watching movies with peers will be provided after lunch. Students will bring their own lunch.
