Spectrum hosts monthly parent meetings the first and second Thursday of each month featuring guest speakers who share their knowledge and expertise regarding a variety of topics related to the Autism Spectrum Disorder. First Thursday of the month meetings are offered Sept-May for parents of school age children. Breakout sessions are also offered for Dads, parents of preschoolers, and in Spanish only. Social Skills programs are offered at the same time for children ages 5-22. Childcare is offered for those under 5. Second Thursday of the month meetings are for parents of adults out of high school and for adults on the spectrum. Location: Spectrum Autism Support Center, 2997 Main St., Duluth, GA 30096 Sesiones de Familia in Spanish via ZOOM twice a month. To raise awareness and celebrate, we will host an Awareness Caravan before the Event! The Caravan will begin at the Brookhaven Police Department and travel nearly 7 miles through Brookhaven and Chamblee, concluding at the Forest Fleming Arena in Doraville. We invite people to gather along Buford Highway to cheer on the caravan! Them join us at the Fleming Forest Arena for the Event.

Spectrum Saturday Social Club will provide a safe space for adults who are on the autism spectrum. Participants who are out of high school and are 18 years or older, have independent self help skills, and are able to function with little supervision. The group will meet on Saturdays from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm where they will play games, enjoy karaoke, or watch movies with friends. The club will be supervised by professional staff that will facilitate the members to help make new friends and strengthen social skills. This will be like a gym membership where you pay $200 for 10 week session to participate one Saturday or all Saturdays in a quarter. You must register but then can attend as often or as little as you want. Registration is now open!

Together, we’ll unravel the mysteries of the tiles, decode the NMJL card, learn the art of dealing, and “dance” through the Charleston—plus so much more. By the end of the class, you’ll feel confident and ready to play! Choose one or more sessions and build your skills each week. This series is offered in partnership with Mahjongg instructor Rachel Timmer, and 25% of all proceeds will support Spectrum Autism Support Group. Grab a seat at the table and join the fun—spots fill quickly!

This group focuses on adults that are looking for a positive and safe environment to foster social development. The group meets twice a month (once at the Spectrum meetings and one social outing a month) with 1-2 adult leaders who are trained in helping people on the Autism Spectrum. Adults who have HFA/Asperger’s Syndrome and are reaching out for help and/or seeking friendships with people with similar issues and interests are welcome! For more information about this group, please contact info@spectrumautism.org. Members of this group need to be out of high school in order to join the group. Our current members are generally high school graduates, attend college, or are working. Those attending the outings must be able to do so with minimal supervision (1 to 10). |

Horizon Over the Spectrum, Inc. invites everyone to the Sensory-Friendly Family Fun Day on Saturday, April 11, 2026. This day is designed specifically for neurodivergent children and their families to celebrate Autism Awareness Month in a calm, creative, and judgment-free environment. Spectrum has partnered with Greater Goals ABA to support local families by providing free early developmental screenings and autism diagnostic access for children under 8 years old — helping reduce long waitlists and ensuring families can access services sooner. This event focuses on early identification, parent education, meaningful community support, and creating a faster path to intervention. Families receive a no-waitlist screening opportunity, along with clear next steps tailored to their child’s needs. They gain faster access to therapy services and guidance navigating insurance options, so they can move forward with confidence.

The Animated Minds ATL is a welcoming community for autistic adults ages 18 and older who share a passion for animation and visual storytelling. This program is designed for adults who do not require support or supervision and who enjoy creating and sharing their work with others. Participants gather to talk about animation, draw, create, and connect with others who share similar interests. Members often bring their own creations to share with the group — including characters, animated shorts, comic books, and other visual storytelling projects. The club celebrates creativity, imagination, and collaboration in a supportive environment. Each month, participants also have the opportunity to learn from guest speakers with expertise in animation, art, film, voice acting, and more, who share their skills and creative process with the group.

The Run, Walk ‘n’ Roll is an annual event that is inclusive of all ages and abilities. Its goal is to raise funds for our Home Medical Equipment Program. On Saturday, April 25th, 2026, from 9:30 am until 12:00 pm, supporters can join us at Stone Mountain Park or participate virtually by running, walking, rolling, or any other type of movement! All activities for both options are self-guided and self-paced. This event supports our home medical equipment program, which provides mobility equipment to those in need at little to no cost!

Join your Lekotek friends for a fun, wheelchair accessible fishing outing at Island Ford--Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. A park ranger and volunteers will offer a basic introduction to fishing to catch fish in the pond. The dock has a railing and is wheelchair accessible. There will also be an aquarium at the dock to view the fish (and turtles) that we catch before we release them back into the pond. Information about a free Acess Pass (for individuals with a disability) for National Parks will be available on site.
