  • Support Group for Parents of LGBTQIA+ Teens & Adults (14+)

    This 8-session AANE support group is designed for parents and caregivers of Autistic (or similarly neurodivergent) teens (age 14+) and adults who also identify as LGBTQIA+. In this small, welcoming group setting, participants will have the opportunity to share experiences, access valuable resources, and build meaningful connections with others navigating similar journeys. Each session offers a supportive space to explore the unique intersections of neurodivergence and LGBTQIA+ identity, while providing guidance, insight, and a sense of community.

  • Let’s Get Away, Together! Spend Another Day at the Louvre

    This series is comprised of interactive sessions with each week focusing on a new place or cultural activity, while incorporating storytelling, music, poetry writing, and/or a simple craft. Each session will include a follow-up message filled with tips, activities, and recipes for families to continue to enjoy after the virtual trip. The focus of each group is to explore a new world, experience a variety of engaging opportunities, and enjoy a sense of camaraderie and community.

    AANE is offering an 8-week virtual group for Autistic and Neurodivergent teens aged 17-19. This group is designed to provide teens with a safe space to feel connected to and engage with each other while practicing their social skills in a facilitated setting.     Do you come away from meetings not saying what you intended or feeling as though your viewpoint is misunderstood? Do you listen to what other team members say? How do you respond? Communication is key to effective partnerships. Learn to recognize the barriers in communication that can get in the way of collaboration and positive outcomes. Strengthen your advocacy skills by learning effective and collaborative communication strategies. This workshop is a collaboration with the Family Resource Network. Registration is required.
