• Moving Up! Transitioning to a new school on an IEP

    Join us for this workshop to learn about the transition process from elementary to middle school and middle to high school for students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Parents will learn about the importance of having a transition meeting, the timeline of transitioning to a new school, what resources and supports are available, and ways they can prepare and support their child.

    Join us for our first dance of 2026 on Friday, February 27 from 6-9pm! We are changing things up this month and will have our dance at Burns Memorial Methodist Church. They have graciously and generously given us the opportunity to use their Family Life Center!

    Wear pink or red for Valentines and get ready to dance the night away! DJ Randle from Southern Knights Entertainment will join us again!

This multi-session support group also gives women an opportunity to voice their concerns and frustrations and lets them acknowledge hard-won and unexpected victories. Common topics of discussion are:

    Masking/camouflaging
    Sensory sensitivities/overloads
    Relationships
    Self-care
    Empathy

    This group is for autistic adults who are also nonbinary, trans, and/or questioning. This group is not for folks who identify with the gender they were assigned at birth (cisgender). You may enjoy this group if you feel the need or desire for community to discuss issues relating to neurodiversity and gender identity. We will both celebrate successes and support each other through difficulties. This multi-session support group meets for 8 sessions, every other week. Advanced registration is required.

    Spectrum hosts monthly parent meetings the first and second Thursday of each month featuring guest speakers who share their knowledge and expertise regarding a variety of topics related to the Autism Spectrum Disorder. First Thursday of the month meetings are offered Sept-May for parents of school age children. Breakout sessions are also offered for Dads, parents of preschoolers, and in Spanish only.

    Social Skills programs are offered at the same time for children ages 5-22. Childcare is offered for those under 5. Second Thursday of the month meetings are for parents of adults out of high school and for adults on the spectrum.
