    Para este seminario web, exploraremos las diferentes partes del IEP para estudiantes que asisten a las Escuelas Públicas de Carolina del Norte y las reglas del camino. Cubriremos una amplia variedad de temas y cómo navegar los obstáculos y desvíos que puedan surgir en el camino.     Join us for 4-Week Mahjongg Series, a fun and engaging Introduction (or refresher) to the basics of American Mahjongg. We will unravel the mysteries of the tiles, decode the secrets of NMJL card, master the art of dealing, dance our way through the Charleston, and so much more! Inclusive offering for both typical participants and individuals with neurodiversity welcome. Ages 14 and up. Come learn to play with us!

  • Movin’ Up: Planning Your Child’s Successful Transition at Age 3

    Join P2P as we discuss how to prepare and plan for a smooth transition from Babies Can’t Wait/early intervention. The presentation includes an overview of various
    programs and services that may be available for three year olds
    with special needs in your community.

  • Mulit-Session Support Group for Women (40-60)

    This multi-session support group is designed for Autistic women (40-60) looking to build an ongoing connection with a small community of other women. This support group also gives women an opportunity to voice their concerns and frustrations and lets them acknowledge hard-won and unexpected victories. Common topics of discussion are:

    Masking/camouflaging
    Sensory sensitivities/overloads
    Relationships
    Self-care
    Empathy

  • Multi-Session Support Group for Gender Diverse Adults

    This group is for autistic adults who are also nonbinary, trans, and/or questioning. This group is not for folks who identify with the gender they were assigned at birth (cisgender). You may enjoy this group if you feel the need or desire for community to discuss issues relating to neurodiversity and gender identity. We will both celebrate successes and support each other through difficulties. This multi-session support group meets for 8 sessions, every other week.

  • Recruiting College Talent with Disabilities: What Works, What Doesn’t, and Why

    As organizations compete for early career talent, college students and recent graduates with disabilities remain one of the most overlooked talent pools. Many employers are eager to hire this emerging workforce but struggle to build meaningful campus connections, create accessible recruiting experiences, and retain new hires once they join the organization.

    Drawing on insights from NOD research, this session explores practical strategies for strengthening disability-inclusive recruiting and creating workplace cultures where early career talent can thrive.

  • Autistic Adults Social Groups

    Spectrum Autism Support Center 2997 Main St, Duluth, GA, United States

    This group focuses on adults that are looking for a positive and safe environment to foster social development. The group meets twice a month (once at the Spectrum meetings and one social outing a month) with 1-2 adult leaders who are trained in helping people on the Autism Spectrum. Adults who have HFA/Asperger’s Syndrome and are reaching out for help and/or seeking friendships with people with similar issues and interests are welcome!     Members of this group need to be out of high school in order to join the group. Our current members are generally high school graduates, attend college, or are working. Those attending the outings must be able to do so with minimal supervision (1 to 10).

  • Support Group – Employment for Adults

    This support group is for Autistic adults (18+) who are post k-12. Through this support group, members can connect with a variety of participants on the topic of employment. Whether you’re currently working, looking for a job or recuperating from burn out, this group is a chance to receive support, share what works for you and learn from each other, on all things related to employment.

    Come join other adults age 50+ with autism or similar Neurodiverse profiles in an atmosphere of support and understanding. The group meets on the second Friday of every month.
