AANE is offering an 8-week virtual group for Autistic and Neurodivergent teens aged 17-19. This group is designed to provide teens with a safe space to feel connected to and engage with each other while practicing their social skills in a facilitated setting. The group will be developed based on the interests and needs of the members.
Parents often wonder how to motivate their Autistic teens, particularly how much to push them and how much to let their teens take the lead. This 90-minute workshop with time for Q&A will cover common challenges and support strategies. Parents of children and teens, clinicians, and educators are welcome to attend. Topics include:
-A strengths-based overview of Autism in adolescence
-The intersection of stress, anxiety, and behavior
-Strategies for building connection and reducing tension
-Autism at school, including considerations for post-high school transition planning
Are you a gay man in the AANE community? Have you ever wanted to share your thoughts and experiences with other Autistic gay men? Join us!
This workshop will address the consideration and purpose of supported decision-making and guardianship with a focus on the details of the legal procedures. It will also include a discussion about both short- and long-term planning. Presented by Joesph P. Kukla, esq., Thiel, Anderson, Kukla & Gunderson, PLLP. Attendance at both workshops in the series is encouraged.
Join us for camaraderie and fun! We will be playing a variety of Jackbox games that we will select as a group! Most games fit about 8 participants, but are still a blast to watch! We rotate through both games and players to have a great time together!

Children with multiple disabilities have few opportunities to attend summer camp; their medical, physical, or cognitive needs cannot be managed by most camps. FOCUS cares about the safety of your child, while offering fun activities that everyone will love.

Children with multiple disabilities have few opportunities to attend summer camp; their medical, physical, or cognitive needs cannot be managed by most camps. FOCUS cares about the safety of your child, while offering fun activities that everyone will love.
This is our support group for Autistic people of color (18+). These spaces are peer-led and provide an opportunity for participants to explore how their multiple identities show up and address their specific needs, by sharing experiences and offering support to one another. We are running these meetings through the winter and then will determine the next steps for future programming based on interest and feedback.
Most families do not think about this planning until it's too late! We always want to encourage and lift up families in new and different ways, thanks to Nick's workshops, you can begin planning a solid foundation for yourselves and the people you love!
Neurodiversity Is Beautiful Social Peer Groups meets every Tuesday evening in person at LIFE, located at 4811 Waters Avenue in Savannah. This is not an open/drop-in group, you must register to participate.
