Support Groups also called Share Groups are the backbone of FOCUS, the first program ever offered. Share Groups meet monthly (September to May) in several different locations around metro Atlanta so parents can meet other parents and share tips, fears, and joys. Parent volunteers facilitate the groups, keeping them positive, constructive, and uplifting.
Eligibility:
Be a parent/caregiver of a child/young adult with a physical and/or developmental disabilities, including rare genetic syndromes, cerebral palsy, autism, and Down syndrome.
Parents will review and sign COVID-19 acknowledgements and the guidelines required by FOCUS for the Share Group Season before attending their first meeting.

Come join other adults age 50+ with autism or similar Neurodiverse profiles in an atmosphere of support and understanding. The group meets on the second Friday of every month.
Children participating in FOCUS activities range in age from birth through 29 years old and have lifelong developmental and/or physical disabilities. Some common diagnoses include but are not limited to cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism, spina bifida, degenerative illnesses, and rare genetic syndromes.

Dates: 2/21, 2/28, 3/14, 3/21, 4/4, 4/11, 4/18 (Closed on March 7th and 28th)
FAST Fins does not offer swim lessons – participants must be able to swim and be safe in the water without flotation. FAST Fins is a swim team, not swim lessons. Not only do swimmers need to be able to swim, they need to WANT to swim. We understand that playing and splashing in the water is fun, but FAST Fins is a time set aside for swimming laps and working on technique to attain better skills and confidence in the water.

Eligibility
FOCUS Kid must be ages 5-29 years old at the start of the Swim Season.
Can swim in deep water without flotation or adult assistance
Able (and willing) to swim at least 25 yards (the length of the pool) without any assistance
Swim strokes do not need to be developed, but they must be able to swim on top of the water in a safe manner
Able to follow directions of safety and take instruction in a group setting
Be cooperative and follow directions in a group
Kids ages 16 and up are invited to join us for computer games, pizza and fun! Cost is $10 (scholarships are available) Registration is required--space is limited.Registration on our website will be available at the beginning of the month prior to the Club date. If you are not currently receiving notifications when registration is available, please contact the Cobb office to get on our email list! 770-420-9889.

UNLOCK COMMUNICATION WITH LAMP
The LAMP therapy approach empowers individuals who are non-speaking or have limited speaking abilities to express themselves using AAC devices. By addressing sensory needs, device features, and teaching methods, LAMP improves communication, enhances social engagement, and reduces challenging behaviors.

Join us for our annual Walk With Me Fundraiser!
This event includes a 5k as well as a 1-mile family fun run so that all ages and abilities can participate. All proceeds go directly towards our programs that support children and adults with disabilities and their families in our community.
