    This support group is for Autistic adults (18+) who are post k-12. Through this support group, members can connect with a variety of participants.

    AANE support groups give members an opportunity to celebrate successes and support each other through difficulties. Common topics of discussion are:

    Masking/camouflaging
    Sensory sensitivities/overloads
    Relationships
    Self-care
    Disclosure

  • Saturday Social Club

    Spectrum Saturday Social Club will provide a safe space for adults who are on the autism spectrum. Participants who are out of high school and are 18 years or older, have independent self help skills, and are able to function with little supervision. The group will meet on Saturdays from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm where they will play games, enjoy karaoke, or watch movies with friends. The club will be supervised by professional staff that will facilitate the members to help make new friends and strengthen social skills.

    This will be like a gym membership where you pay $200 for 10 week session to participate one Saturday or all Saturdays in a quarter. You must register but then can attend as often or as little as you want. Registration is now open!

  • Workshop – Introduction to Autism for Adults

    A presentation and discussion for Autistic adults to come and explore their understanding of autism through a neurological lens. We will discuss common misconceptions, the Autistic identity, and common Autistic traits, strengths, and challenges. This presentation is given by an Autistic adult and a Neurodivergent ally. You might enjoy this presentation and discussion if you are newly diagnosed, considering whether you may be autistic, or if you have only explored autism through a deficit lens in the past.

  • Jackbox Game Night for Adults

    Join us for camaraderie and fun! We will be playing a variety of Jackbox games that we will select as a group! Most games fit about 8 participants, but are still a blast to watch! We rotate through both games and players to have a great time together!

  • Multi-Session Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Interest Group for Adults

    This interest group is intended for post-high school adults who fulfill the player pre-requisites outlined below:

    Participants need to have played Dungeons and Dragons before either at AANE or elsewhere.
    They must also be familiar with character creation, general rules of D&D Edition 5, cooperation within a team, and following campaign rules and storyline.
    Each participant is expected to attend all 8 meetings in order to help his/her team advance as far as possible in the campaign.
    This interest series will be using a campaign selected by the Dungeon Masters. Participants must agree to follow the rules of the campaign at all times.
    Because this is an interactive/collaborative game. Participants need to be able to participate fully in each game session.

  • Support Group for LGBTQIA+ Adults

    This is an hour-long support group for Autistic LGBTQIA+ adults. It is a safe space to find community, share stories with, or gather support if needed from folks of similar experiences. This group hopes to provide support and comfort. The group is facilitated by a trans person on the spectrum. No autism (or related) diagnoses are required, nor is certainty about your queer identity. This is a space to explore all those things. It is also for all post-high school adults over 18 years old.

  • Animated Minds ATL

    The Animated Minds ATL is a welcoming community for autistic adults ages 18 and older who share a passion for animation and visual storytelling. This program is designed for adults who do not require support or supervision and who enjoy creating and sharing their work with others.

    Participants gather to talk about animation, draw, create, and connect with others who share similar interests. Members often bring their own creations to share with the group — including characters, animated shorts, comic books, and other visual storytelling projects. The club celebrates creativity, imagination, and collaboration in a supportive environment.

    Each month, participants also have the opportunity to learn from guest speakers with expertise in animation, art, film, voice acting, and more, who share their skills and creative process with the group.
