Dear Dads & Daughters, Whether you’re a dad, grandpa, uncle, or a special family friend, this is your moment to shine. Get ready for twirls, giggles, and an afternoon of memory‑making with your favorite kiddo. And moms… this is your golden window to enjoy a peaceful house, a cozy couch, and maybe a little Netflix bliss while we handle the fun and frolics. Music by DJ Rockin Wheels! |

We are working with Kim Johnson of Exceedingly Me Technical Training and Job Readiness, Inc. to create a workshop for the dads and boys in the special needs community. This event will focus on some sensory friendly actitives that are stem related and hands-on because many of our boys and young men need those types of provisions to learn new activites. This event will also have a focus on teaching these boys and young men to put on a tie and learning some positive affirmations that will help build positive self esteem. All of these skills are needed as these boys and young men enter into the adult world and our community. This event is also for the dads and men in our community that are trying to parent a son or mentor a boy or young man with special needs. This event will allow them to focus on the able and not the label in order to build necessary skills as a boy or young man in this world.

Fathers’ Group is a place where fathers can share their experiences, support one another, and build their toolbox to parent more confidently. We will be having a good conversation over Zoom. Parenting can be demanding, frustrating, and at times stressful long after the child is grown. Autistic children can often have unique challenges. Parent Support Groups provide feedback, support, and perspective from peers on a variety of common issues. Groups are meant strictly for parents and do not include the Autistic child.
