    Brightside Cafe Buford 554 W Main St, Building G, Buford, Georgia

    Support Groups also called Share Groups are the backbone of FOCUS, the first program ever offered. Share Groups meet monthly (September to May) in several different locations around metro Atlanta so parents can meet other parents and share tips, fears, and joys. Parent volunteers facilitate the groups, keeping them positive, constructive, and uplifting.
    Eligibility

    Be a parent/caregiver of a child/young adult with a physical and/or developmental disabilities, including rare genetic syndromes, cerebral palsy, autism, and Down syndrome.
    Parents will review and sign COVID-19 acknowledgements and the guidelines required by FOCUS for the Share Group Season before attending their first meeting.

    Monthly support group meeting for parents of adults with autism over the age of 18 who are out of high school. Social Support group is offered for adults out of high school with higher ability level or Asperger's. No childcare is offered.

  • Cobb Computer Club (Ages 16+)

    Lekotek of Georgia Kennesaw 1925 Vaughn Rd NW, Kennesaw, GA

    Kids ages 16 and up are invited to join us for computer games, pizza and fun! Cost is $10 (scholarships are available) Registration is required--space is limited.Registration on our website will be available at the beginning of the month prior to the Club date.   • Lekotek Fishing Trip

    1978 Island Ford Pkwy 1978 Island Ford Pkwy, Sandy Springs, Georgia

    Join your Lekotek friends for a fun, wheelchair accessible fishing outing at Island Ford--Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area. A park ranger and volunteers will offer a basic introduction to fishing to catch fish in the pond. The dock has a railing and is wheelchair accessible. There will also be an aquarium at the dock to view the fish (and turtles) that we catch before we release them back into the pond. Information about a free Acess Pass (for individuals with a disability) for National Parks will be available on site.

  • Table Talk Jr. for Teens ages 12-17

    Get ready to meet and mingle with like-minded young teens (ages 12 - 17) on the spectrum. A great opportunity to be social and make new friends as you move from table to table to get to know new people. Table Talk Jr. is $25 and includes meal and a drink. TIME IS 12 to 2 PM. ARRIVE BY 11:45 FOR CHECK IN.

    Join us for a Special Concert with Walker Burroughs! Walker, singer-songwriter and American Idol Finalist will be hosting a concert for FOCUS Families! Walker worked at Camp Hollywood as a Music Leader and is amazing with our FOCUS Community.

    Cancelation Policy: FOCUS will refund your event fee minus the deposit fee for all cancellations made two weeks before the event date. Any cancellation after April 25th will not receive a refund.
