    This support group is for Autistic adults (18+) who are post k-12. Through this support group, members can connect with a variety of participants.

    AANE support groups give members an opportunity to celebrate successes and support each other through difficulties. Common topics of discussion are:

    Masking/camouflaging
    Sensory sensitivities/overloads
    Relationships
    Self-care
    Disclosure
    Advanced registration is required.

  • WOMEN ON THE SPECTRUM SOCIAL SUPPORT GROUP

    Spectrum has partnered with Emory School of Nursing in starting a Women Only Group for women ages 18 and up with HFA/Asperger's, focusing on sharing challenges and successes of transition, supporting one another, and building friendships for success. This group meets twice monthly via Zoom, first and 3rd Fridays.   • Support Group for Adults

    A multi-session support group has the same group members (up to 12) for a set number of sessions (8). Multi-session support groups are ideal for adults who are looking for deeper connections and more extensive peer support from group members. For the best support group experience, closed group members should plan on attending all 8 meetings in the series. This group offers a safe environment where Autistic adults can talk with like-minded people, share issues and concerns, and celebrate successes. Common topics include: disclosure, self-advocacy, and relationships.

    AANE is offering an 8-week virtual group for Autistic or Neurodivergent young adults aged 19-23. This group is designed to provide young adults navigating the transition between teenage years and adulthood a safe space to feel connected to and engage with each other while practicing their social skills in a facilitated setting. The group will be developed based on the interests and needs of the members.

  • Workshop – Feeling Inward: Understanding Internal Body Signals for Self-Regulation for Adults

    The interoception sense monitors your entire body, including body parts like your lungs, stomach, bladder, and skin and collects information about how these body parts feel. This workshop will involve discussion regarding what “interoception” (or the “interoceptive sense”) is and how you can use this system to promote self regulation. This session will include education, group discussion, and personal applications. Advanced registration is required.

  • Let’s Get Away, Together! Lighthouses

    This series is comprised of interactive sessions with each week focusing on a new place or cultural activity, while incorporating storytelling, music, poetry writing, and/or a simple craft. Each session will include a follow-up message filled with tips, activities, and recipes for families to continue to enjoy after the virtual trip. The focus of each group is to explore a new world, experience a variety of engaging opportunities, and enjoy a sense of camaraderie and community.

  • Family Empowerment Series- Starbridge

    The Family Empowerment Series is multi-session workshop part of Starbridge’s Signature Series offered each year. This series of workshops prepares families and caregivers to better advocate within the educational system for their children and to be a resource for other families of students who have disabilities in their communities.

    This group is designed for parents and other adult family members of young Autistic children under the age of 12. This group is limited to 16 participants or caregivers to connect with one another and share information.
