  • Expanding Access: Leveraging Strategic Partnerships and Funding toward Transportation Options

    Accessible and reliable transportation is essential for community inclusion, workforce participation, and independent living. This webinar will explore innovative solutions to fill transportation gaps for individuals with disabilities and older adults. Participants will learn how counties, state agencies, and transit providers can collaborate to design services that complement fixed-route systems. We will discuss strategies for leveraging state, federal, and local funding streams to build sustainable programs and highlight a successful model of cross-agency partnerships that maximize resources to expand transportation options.

  • Support Group for LGBTQIA+ Adults

    This is an hour-long support group for Autistic LGBTQIA+ adults. It is a safe space to find community, share stories with, or gather support if needed from folks of similar experiences. This group hopes to provide support and comfort. The group is facilitated by a trans person on the spectrum. No autism (or related) diagnoses are required, nor is certainty about your queer identity. This is a space to explore all those things. It is also for all post-high school adults over 18 years old.

    This multi-session support group is designed for Autistic women (18-35). Through this support group, women (18-35) can build an ongoing connection with a small group of other women. AANE multi-session support groups for women also give women an opportunity to voice their concerns and frustrations. It also lets them acknowledge hard-won and unexpected victories. Common topics of discussion are:

    Masking/camouflaging
    Sensory sensitivities/overloads
    Relationships
    Self-care
    Empathy

    This support group is for Autistic adults (18+) who are post k-12. Through this support group, members can connect with a variety of participants.

  • WOMEN ON THE SPECTRUM SOCIAL SUPPORT GROUP

    Spectrum has partnered with Emory School of Nursing in starting a Women Only Group for women ages 18 and up with HFA/Asperger's, focusing on sharing challenges and successes of transition, supporting one another, and building friendships for success. This group meets twice monthly via Zoom, first and 3rd Fridays.
