  • Autistic Adults Social Groups

    Spectrum Autism Support Center 2997 Main St, Duluth, GA, United States

    This group focuses on adults that are looking for a positive and safe environment to foster social development. The group meets twice a month (once at the Spectrum meetings and one social outing a month) with 1-2 adult leaders who are trained in helping people on the Autism Spectrum. Adults who have HFA/Asperger’s Syndrome and are reaching out for help and/or seeking friendships with people with similar issues and interests are welcome!     Members of this group need to be out of high school in order to join the group. Our current members are generally high school graduates, attend college, or are working. Those attending the outings must be able to do so with minimal supervision (1 to 10).

  • Support Group – Employment for Adults

    This support group is for Autistic adults (18+) who are post k-12. Through this support group, members can connect with a variety of participants on the topic of employment. Whether you’re currently working, looking for a job or recuperating from burn out, this group is a chance to receive support, share what works for you and learn from each other, on all things related to employment.

  • Healthy Relationships on The Autism Spectrum (HEARTS)

    Healthy Relationships on the Autism Spectrum (HEARTS) is a multi-session workshop for Autistic adults who would like to learn about, and talk about, healthy friendship and dating relationships. The workshop does not teach how to find new dating partners or friends. Rather, it provides education about what a healthy vs. unhealthy relationship feels like, how to notice warning signs that a relationship is becoming unhealthy, how to cope with a breakup or end of a friendship how to restart friendships with people when you have fallen out of touch, and how to stay motivated to meet new people.

    HEARTS is rooted in a neurodiversity perspective and is taught by an Autistic and non-Autistic team. HEARTS affirms all relationship types and styles, all genders, and all sexual orientations (LGBTQ+, poly, asexual, etc.)

    The workshop consists of 8 sessions, each a mix of curriculum and open discussion. Participants should plan on attending all 8 sessions in the series. HEARTS offers a safe environment for autistic adults to talk with like-minded people, share issues and concerns, and celebrate successes.

  • Support Group for Adults Over 50

    Come join other adults age 50+ with autism or similar Neurodiverse profiles in an atmosphere of support and understanding. The group meets on the second Friday of every month.

  • Communication & Social Relationships for Adults

    This eight-session AANE support group offers a structured, affirming space to explore the complexities of autistic communication and relationships. Participants will engage in guided discussions, share experiences, and build practical strategies for navigating social connection while honoring neurodivergent communication styles.

  • Partners in Education Transition Mini-Conference

    FREE conference is for youth and their parents/caregivers to learn about the transition to adult life, adult services, and self-advocacy.

    There will be a variety of Exhibitors providing resources.

    Parents and caregivers (who can attend separate tracks) must accompany the conference with their young adult/youth. SPAN does not provide support to individuals, but they are welcome to provide their support person.

  • Support Group for Teens (15-19)

    This group meets on the second Saturday of the month and is for individuals (ages 15-19) who are Autistic or who suspect they are. All AANE-facilitated support groups provide information, connection, and community where participants can share similar issues and concerns and celebrate successes. Groups are designed for the teens only – parents and other family members should not attend the groups.

  • Sensory-Friendly Family Fun Day

    Horizon Over the Spectrum, Inc. invites everyone to the Sensory-Friendly Family Fun Day on Saturday, April 11, 2026. This day is designed specifically for neurodivergent children and their families to celebrate Autism Awareness Month in a calm, creative, and judgment-free environment.
