Spectrum's Homeschool Learning and Enrichment program offers an inclusive and welcoming space for 3rd-12th grade students who are on the autism spectrum, have ADHD, dyslexia, or other learning differences. This program is designed for children with independent self-help skills who require minimal supervision with staff ratios of 1:6. The group will meet on Tuesdays, 11 am to 1:30 pm Social skills development with structured peer interactions, group activities, socio-emotional strategies will be offered. We will offer enrichment activities like Arts and Crafts, Music, Gardening and Nature Activities, Executive Function Skills, STEM (task management, time management), Social Skills and Peer Interaction, Life Skills (e.g., cooking, budgeting, organization), and Career Readiness (for teens and young adults). Arts, drama, music, STEM, cooking, gardening, and life skills training. Innovative learning methods will feature activities led by specialists such as drum circle leaders, theatre professionals, Master Gardeners, and yoga instructors. Opportunities to build friendships and strengthen social skills through fun and engaging activities like playing games, outdoor play, and watching movies with peers will be provided after lunch. Students will bring their own lunch.

We’re excited to invite you to Part TWO of Making Marks: Fall 2025, part of LIFE’s Social Club series! Make Your Mark at LIFE on October 2pth at a special Social Club thanks to the creative team from Telfair Museum who will be on hand to guide this fun activity! This session is inspired by the powerful work of artist Noel W. Anderson, who uses everyday materials and layered textures to explore history, culture, and shared experience. We’ll be drawing from his approach as we create our own art pieces that celebrate individuality and community. They will play board games or video games, enjoy karaoke, play outdoors or watch movies with friends. The club will be supervised by professional staff that will facilitate the members to help make new friends and strengthen social skills. We will have one supervisor for this program and will ask parents to sign up to take a turn as a volunteer monitor one time and will look for 2 to 3 monitors per week per session.

Fun sports and activities for differently abled children and young adults. All of the sports and activities are modified so that anyone can participate and have fun. Each participant is assigned a Buddy to help them with the sport. In some cases there are two participants to one Buddy, depending on the skill set of participants.

The group is available to Autistic adults regardless of skill level or diagnosis. The group will meet every second Sunday of the month on Zoom. This group focuses on adults that are looking for a positive and safe environment to foster social development. The group meets twice a month (once at the Spectrum meetings and one social outing a month) with 1-2 adult leaders who are trained in helping people on the Autism Spectrum. Adults who have HFA/Asperger’s Syndrome and are reaching out for help and/or seeking friendships with people with similar issues and interests are welcome! For more information about this group, please contact info@spectrumautism.org. Members of this group need to be out of high school in order to join the group. Our current members are generally high school graduates, attend college, or are working. Those attending the outings must be able to do so with minimal supervision (1 to 10). |

If you have a child that is a sibling to a special needs individual, please join us on Friday, Nov 14th at the Carroll Rec Center to celebrate them for their constant dedication, patience and love that they give to their brothers and sisters every day! We’re excited to have our 1st Run, Walk ‘n’ Roll event in Savannah this fall! The Run, Walk ‘n’ Roll is inclusive to all ages and abilities. Its goal is to raise funds for our Home Medical Equipment Program. This Fall, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., supporters can join us at Lake Mayer Park or participate virtually by running, walking, rolling, or engaging in any other type of movement! Both options offer self-guided and self-paced activities. We invite adults of all ages who identify as disabled or neurodivergent to join us along with their friends and family for a Sensory-Friendly Evening. This after-hours program includes drop-in art-making workshops, wellness programs, and guides for exploring art and ideas in the galleries. Experience world-class art, explore the museum at your own pace, exercise your creativity, or simply enjoy spending time with friends and family in a supportive, judgment-free environment. Admission to this program is free. Capacity is limited to reduce crowds, and preregistration is required.

Join LIFE, Inc. on Friday, November 22 from 12–2 PM at the Screven Community Center (219 Florie St, Screven, GA) for a cozy Friendsgiving celebration filled with good food, fellowship, and community spirit. We’re bringing everyone together for a warm potluck lunch — and this year, the giving doesn’t stop at the table. Once we’ve shared our meal, LIFE staff and volunteers will package up leftover dishes into plates for neighbors who may be in need of a home-cooked meal this holiday season.
