When it comes to planning for life after high school, it is important to think about working, learning, and living in our communities. These topics all play a part in the various paths a person may choose to take in pursuing their independent living goals. This interest group is intended for post-high school adults who fulfill the player pre-requisites outlined below: Participants need to have played Dungeons and Dragons before either at AANE or elsewhere. This is an hour-long support group for Autistic LGBTQIA+ adults. It is a safe space to find community, share stories with, or gather support if needed from folks of similar experiences. This group hopes to provide support and comfort. The group is facilitated by a trans person on the spectrum. No autism (or related) diagnoses are required, nor is certainty about your queer identity. This is a space to explore all those things. It is also for all post-high school adults over 18 years old.

This group meets twice monthly via Zoom, first and 3rd Fridays. The group meets twice a month (once at the Spectrum meetings and one social outing a month) with 1-2 adult leaders who are trained in helping people on the Autism Spectrum. Adults who have HFA/Asperger’s Syndrome and are reaching out for help and/or seeking friendships with people with similar issues and interests are welcome!
