The FODAC Golf Classic will be held at Stone Mountain Golf Club on October 3rd, 2025, to raise funds for FODAC’s home medical equipment (HME) program. The funds will help provide mobility items like wheelchairs, walkers, standers, patient lifts, and hospital beds to improve the quality of life for adults and children with disabilities.

They will play board games or video games, enjoy karaoke, play outdoors or watch movies with friends. The club will be supervised by professional staff that will facilitate the members to help make new friends and strengthen social skills. We will have one supervisor for this program and will ask parents to sign up to take a turn as a volunteer monitor one time and will look for 2 to 3 monitors per week per session. 
Spectrum has partnered with Emory School of Nursing in starting a Women Only Group for women ages 18 and up with HFA/Asperger's, focusing on sharing challenges and successes of transition, supporting one another, and building friendships for success. This group meets twice monthly via Zoom, first and 3rd Fridays. FOCUS Adaptive Swim Team (FAST Fins) concentrates on perfecting swim strokes, improving stamina, developing team skills, building self-confidence, following verbal commands, and increasing fitness. FAST Fins does not offer swim lessons – participants must be able to swim and be safe in the water without flotation. FAST Fins is a swim team, not swim lessons. Not only do swimmers need to be able to swim, they need to WANT to swim. We understand that playing and splashing in the water is fun, but FAST Fins is a time set aside for swimming laps and working on technique to attain better skills and confidence in the water. |

This group focuses on adults that are looking for a positive and safe environment to foster social development. The group meets twice a month (once at the Spectrum meetings and one social outing a month) with 1-2 adult leaders who are trained in helping people on the Autism Spectrum. Adults who have HFA/Asperger’s Syndrome and are reaching out for help and/or seeking friendships with people with similar issues and interests are welcome! For more information about this group, please contact info@spectrumautism.org. Members of this group need to be out of high school in order to join the group. Our current members are generally high school graduates, attend college, or are working. Those attending the outings must be able to do so with minimal supervision (1 to 10).

Fun sports and activities for differently abled children and young adults. All of the sports and activities are modified so that anyone can participate and have fun. Each participant is assigned a Buddy to help them with the sport. In some cases there are two participants to one Buddy, depending on the skill set of participants.

The symposium will feature Emmy award winning documentarians Dan and Samuel Habib, directors of The Ride Ahead and My Disability Roadmap. Spectrum's Homeschool Learning and Enrichment program offers an inclusive and welcoming space for 3rd-12th grade students who are on the autism spectrum, have ADHD, dyslexia, or other learning differences. This program is designed for children with independent self-help skills who require minimal supervision with staff ratios of 1:6. The group will meet on Tuesdays, 11 am to 1:30 pm Social skills development with structured peer interactions, group activities, socio-emotional strategies will be offered. We will offer enrichment activities like Arts and Crafts, Music, Gardening and Nature Activities, Executive Function Skills, STEM (task management, time management), Social Skills and Peer Interaction, Life Skills (e.g., cooking, budgeting, organization), and Career Readiness (for teens and young adults). Arts, drama, music, STEM, cooking, gardening, and life skills training. Innovative learning methods will feature activities led by specialists such as drum circle leaders, theatre professionals, Master Gardeners, and yoga instructors. Opportunities to build friendships and strengthen social skills through fun and engaging activities like playing games, outdoor play, and watching movies with peers will be provided after lunch. Students will bring their own lunch.

Please note, this workshop is not for families trying to determine whether guardianship is right for them. It will cover the evaluation process, eligibility, and parental rights and responsibilities as they relate to early childhood special education. It will conclude with a Q&A. Meanwhile, we help clients navigate the modern job market with all its technical tasks, networking challenges, and stress. In Part 1, we explored ways to use the modern resume as the foundation for every step in the job search process – from targeting jobs to networking. This workshop dives into the real coaching dilemmas that can keep you up at night: the client who can’t see their own value or doesn’t want to seem fake, who is losing track of targeted resumes, or who struggles with consistently describing themselves for networking and with social finesse. How do you work with, instead of against, resume ATS (Applicant Tracking Software)? Drawing from your submitted questions and tough scenarios, this interactive session gives proven answers and opens up collaborative brainstorming. Spectrum's Friday Homeschool Social Club will provide a safe space for neurodiverse homeschooled individuals on the autism spectrum, with ADHD or learning differences, ages 5-18. Participants need to have independent self-help skills, and able to function with minimal supervision. They will play board games or video games, enjoy karaoke, play outdoors or watch movies with friends. The club will be supervised by professional staff that will facilitate the members to help make new friends and strengthen social skills. We will have one supervisor for this program and will ask parents to sign up to take a turn as a volunteer monitor one time and will look for 2 to 3 monitors per week per session.

Spectrum Teen Social Club will provide a safe space for teens 12-18 who are on the autism spectrum. Participants who are in middle school and high school, have independent self help skills, and are able to function with little supervision. The group will meet on Saturdays from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm where they will play games, enjoy karaoke, or watch movies with friends. The club will be supervised by professional staff that will facilitate the members to help make new friends and strengthen social skills.
